“Young people these days…” The older generation across the world, across the ages has muttered these words of disbelief. Look at the younger people these days. They have abundance, but no care. They have complaints but no ambitions. They wear strange clothes and listen to noise that they call music. The older generation declares with certainty that comes with their experience. “When we were young, things were different.” There were higher energy and greater drive to achieve. There were tighter family ties and moral order. People looked beyond their self and had a high sense of social conscience. About a hundred years ago, Eiichi Shibusawa thought differently. He said, “Comparing the few great young achievers of the past to the general young generation of today is incorrect. There are great young achievers today. And, there were hopeless young underachievers in the past.”
